INE, pronounced [i-ne], is the Japanese word for rice plant. It is used here as an abbreviation for INtegrated rice genome Explorer - a database integrating the genetic map, physical map and sequencing information of rice genome. This database is written in JAVA language.
INE needs Netscape NavigatorTM 4.0 or Netscape CommunicatorTM 4.0 and later.
The integrated maps are presented for each chromosome. Alternatively search marker directly leads to available data on specific DNA clones.
About WhoGA and INE
Currently all information in INE can be accessed through WhoGA, the latest RGP genome browser on the complete rice genome sequence. The main branch of RGP genome browser is WhoGA, although INE will be maintained as yet another genome browser.
